Blakely Tall Frosted Set...The tall frosted glasses are the first glasses to be given away at the Blakely Gas Stations. The pitcher and tray followed a little later. This is the most common set you will find. The pitchers can be found separately from the complete set. Be sure to watch for cracks around the base of the handle. The trays are harder to come by separately so you may want to consider purchasing a set that comes with the tray otherwise you may be in for a long search.
The tall frosted glasses will have 2 types of finish, one has a smoother and shinier texture while the other is rougher almost sandy texture to it. You may also notice a different lettering size on the smoother finished glasses than on the rougher ones. I'm not sure why that is. I do know that the glasses with the smooth finish that I have came from Libbey glass, Libbey did not do the decorating of the glass so that may be the reason for the difference. I also know that Anchor Hocking glass made some of the rougher finished glasses but, I have not been able to confirm if they did any of the decorating or if like Libbey it was done by a 3rd party vendor that Blakely hired. Not all of the frosted glasses will have a manufacturer's mark on them.
Blakely Frosted Juice Set... Another great Blakely giveaway, the juice set above followed the Frosted Iced Tea Set a little later. It came with the same 8 cacti designs with the frosted finish. The tray has branding as well. The juice decanter has only the Saguaro cactus on it and is basically an enlarged version of the Saguaro cactus glass. It comes with a plastic lid and small flip opening to pour from. The glasses are a little harder to find and the tray is a big challenge.
Blakely Clear Painted Set...Yet another glass giveaway. The Clear Set still has the same 8 cacti that are found on the 2 frosted sets above. The Pitcher however is different as it will have a Saguaro Cactus in the center and the Barrel Cactus on each side. The clear glasses are also a bit of a challenge to get originals as they were reproduced in the early 80's by Western Savings & Loan and Skaggs Drug Stores (see section on reproductions). The Clear Pitcher can be a bit more of a challenge to find that the Frosted Pitcher.
